These past weeks I decided to disconnect from my blog to spend some quality time with my parents, who were visiting me for 3 weeks. It’s difficult to live apart from my family so when I get an opportunity like this, I just want to squeeze it and enjoy as much as I can.
I am also fully charged with ideas for coming posts that I cannot wait to share with you here on my blog! And I’ve been dying to share a review of the Nude Love Collection from HUDA Beauty.
I’ve heard so many good things about this brand and the formula used on the matte liquid lipsticks, so when I saw that Brown Thomas was launching HUDA Beauty in Dublin, curious me, I went straight away to see what was going on.
What did I get?
I am more into lipsticks during winter because I don’t like when my lips look pale, and what better thing that covering them with long-lasting colour, right? So I wasn’t sure what colour to pick initially but when I saw the mini collections (nudes, pinks, reds and browns) I thought to myself, what would I be wearing more normally… Nudes! So I picked the Liquid Matte Minis, Nude Love Collection.
Another thing I picked was a lip contour that I can use with all the nudes to give extra definition to my lips.
What about the colours?
There were 2 different minis sets of nudes to chose from, but I was drawn immediately to the Nude Love Collection because of the mix of peachy tones, while the other Nude Collection has a mix of browny tones. Both nude collections are gorgeous and I am sure I will try the other one at some stage too.
So when I was purchasing a lip contour, I was advised that ‘Bombshell‘ is the colour that goes with most of the Nude palette. Lucky me because I was not prepared to purchase a lip contour for each colour… imagine! haha
Here I gathered the colour description for the Nude Love Collection Minis I found in HUDA Beauty website:
- Crush (a light peachy nude with a pink accent)
- Wifey (a delicate pinkish nude)
- Girlfriend (a light apricot nude)
- Sugar Mamma (a sweet peachy nude)
- Lip Contour: Bombshell (an irresistible peachy nude)
Let me tell you that the formula of HUDA liquid matte lipsticks is super light, long-lasting and the colour adapts easily to your lips without making them look dry. However, before applying any matte lipstick, I strongly recommend exfoliating your lips and adding a thin layer of your favourite lip balm to give them an extra hydration boost 😉
Until now, I am loving all the colour but the ones I am using most frequently are Girlfriend and Wifey, which I probably will be purchasing full size as soon as I’m done with the minis.
Have you tried any lipstick from HUDA Beauty before? I want to hear your experience with this brand in the comment box below! x
Have a great day! 🙂
