Like every other month, here I am sharing the beauty items that I received on my September Birchbox. This month theme is ‘work hard, play hard & be kind’. Birchbox also partnered with Oliver Bona (an independent British brand) to design the September box.
In the box I found 5 beauty items, two of them full size plus a 15% off voucher for Oliver Bona online store. Not bad at all!

Now, let me share with you details of all the beauty products I received this month!
This 3-in-1 powder works as everything I named above. Even though it looks brownish, it’s actually a champagne-pink shade and it has a lovely velvety glow when you apply it. I will mainly use this product as a highlighter because I love the effect it leaves on my skin.
The only downside of this product is that the full size we received is tiny but if you only use it as an eyeshadow, then you should be ok.
So this cleansing balm from Clinique has been all over the social media and most beauty bloggers swear by it so I was intrigued to see the results for myself.
I usually wash my face and clean with Micellar water afterwards and all that jazz because I don’t wear much foundation on my skin. But I honestly was happy to have received this product in my box.
Did it work?… yeah, it did! It was pleasant to remove my make up with it, using a damp face cloth and my skin was left looking great and no signs of make up. However, I am not a 100% sure I would purchase this full size as I’m satisfied with my micellar water instead.
Lip balms are just my thing! When I saw this I instantly tried it on and liked it because my lips got hydrated and obtained a lovely pinkish natural colour. Perfect to start using it in the cold weather.
What this lip balm does to your lips is to enhance your natural colour by adjusting to your unique pH. So it works differently on each person. Besides this brand is true for being vegan, paraben-free and cruelty-free.
If you are the type of person who sleeps less than 8 hours and get dark circles under your eyes very easily – then this is for you! This product has a lovely cooling effect and is said to reduce the visibility of those eye bags and circles by brightening and rejuvenate your eyes on the go.
I cannot recommend this to you because I sleep a lot and I haven’t got the opportunity to see if it works for real. What I can tell you though is that it definitely leaves your eyes feeling cool and refreshed 😉
So apart from the lip balm, I also received another one but with a multi-task purpose. This balm can be applied to any dry or irritated area on your skin and lips to heal, hydrate and repair.
The main ingredient of this balm is pawpaw fruit, also know as Papaya. Thanks to this ingredient, this balm is perfect to be applied anywhere, even on your hair to give that extra boost of hydration. This is another item that has gone straight to my handbag.
I’m overall happy with my beauty items this month and I think they will help me with the weather season transition.
