My June Birchbox arrived early last week, but since the weather has been incredible, I have taken longer than expected to write this post. Girl needs her Vitamin D! 🙂
This month theme ‘Daytripping’ has been inspired by the beautiful pastel colours of Brighton Beach and the beauty essentials needed on a day trip.
Last month’s Birchbox was a complete success, but this month I am not fully happy! Continue reading to find out why…
Birchbox – Birchbag
So this month instead of getting a Birchbox, we received a Birchbag. That’s right! A lovely bag that has currently turned into my makeup bag. I am loving it, the size is perfect to fit a good amount of beauty products and is waterproof. This is probably my favourite item this month.
Scrub Love – Coffee Body Scrub
If you love the coffee smell then this stuff is made for you. Besides, exfoliating with coffee has become very popular. My favourite coffee exfoliator of all times is Frank Body but I am happy to have received the Original Lovin’ Scrubs because they use orange and almond oil to condition your skin. Can’t wait to try it!
Meech N Mia – Brow Liner in #22
This is the first time I am not a 100% happy with an item in my Birchbox. First of all, for this kind of beauty products they should ask people to choose the colour that suits them best. Especially when it comes to eyebrows!
I received the number 22 which is a dark brown but my eyebrows are black! I will never be able to wear this colour unfortunately. Very disappointed on this!
Arrow- Enhance Waterproof Eyeliner
I find this eyeliner really enjoyable and it is definitely waterproof! I tested it! I like to have that bright look on my eyes so I am using it mostly in the waterline of my eye and it lasts all day long. Definitely a nice item to have in your beauty bag.
This eyeliner is in the colour Bright Now and it’s vegan, cruelty-free and without parabens.
Amika – Perk Up Dry Shampoo
I am hooked to dry shampoos and I already finished this bottle haha! I am serious – It’s been really hot lately in Ireland and my hair needed that extra lift and freshness – so this little bottle came in very handy.
I am definitely buying a full size bottle of this beauty, although it is not very cheap!
Cowshed – Cow Pad Hand Cream
I am Obsessed with hand creams, everyone! I can probably live without make up but if I don’t have a bottle of hand cream in my purse, I go crazy! My hands are very sensible to any kind of weather and they get dry easily so for me, hand cream is like lip balm in winter time 🙂
This hand cream is so good and you can smell the natural oils in it – I swear my hands are hydrated immediately and the effect lasts longer than when using other commercial hand creams. Cowshed hand cream uses great ingredients such as bitter orange, grapefruit, lavender and coriander seed oil to soothe and restore softness to the hands. This is goodness!
