Recently I decided to purchase a New Face Mask with a bit of extra hydration for my skin. The reason why I needed one is because I went for mini holidays to Spain and my skin is not so used to the sun anymore (crazy, right?) and I really wanted to prep my skin for the change of weather.
So I’ve seen loads of reviews about the Vichy – Quenching Mineral Mask and I immediately wanted to give it a go. Now, as I’m writing this post, I have this mask on my face, feeling its effect and I’m in need to tell you right now, what it is doing exactly!
First of all, I have applied a thin layer and it feels very refreshing on the skin after only seconds of putting it on. I can say that it is similar to Vicks VaporRub, without the stingy feeling. Quite pleasant, really!
Now, in the instructions it only says to let it sit for 5 minutes and then massage the excess in, that’s it!… The very first time I used this product, I let it sit for 5 minutes but then I rinsed it with water and didn’t see much of a difference besides the cooling effect when I applied on. However, now I decided to leave it there and see what happens.
20 mins have passed since I applied the mask and massaged the excess in but my face feels really sticky; although my skin looks super hydrated, which is what I was looking for.
I don’t really like the stickiness on my face so I have rinsed the mask off, but this time, I can notice some difference on my face and I have to admit that I am liking it! My face looks hydrated and I don’t see any dry patches anymore. Perhaps, next time I will leave it all night?!
I will try to use this mineral mask around 2-3 times a week to see if it does what they claim: regenerate and rebalance my skin. For now, I can totally recommend this mask to those who have a dry skin like mine 😉
Have you tried Vichy Mineral Mask already? Or do you have a favourite face mask?
