Since this is my very first post, I decided to write about this stunning city I recently visited and fell in love with ❤️
It’s been so long since I wanted to visit Granada. Not only for the free Tapas you get every time you order a drink, but because there is so much to see around this city.
Let me start by saying that if you are driving, just park the car and forget about it until you leave the city. You don’t need it! The city is small and you get around easily on your feet. Besides, it is forbidden to drive in certain areas so it’s better for you not to risk it.
Granada is simply beautiful!
I wish we could have stayed longer but at least the few days we were there, we went to the old Moorish quarter of this lovely city – El Albaicín. We found la Alcaiceria where the Old Spice market is and of course, bought a few bags of lovely spices for myself.
One of the nights we spent in Granada, we booked a table with a view in La Ruta del Azafran and guess what? They gave us one where you could outlook the Alhambra. I couldn’t be happier! So Romantic! 🙂 The food was delicious and the staff were very nice.
The next best thing we did was to visit the Hammam Al Ándalus Arab Baths where we relaxed after a full day of touring around. This place is worth every single penny, believe me! As soon as you walk in, you feel immediately transported and disconnected from the real world. During the course of your stay, you get treated with fresh fruits and delicious Moroccan mint tea.
Finally, in our last day we visited the gorgeous Alhambra. I have to say that if you go to Granada this is definitely a must and you will need to book tickets way in advance as they are sold like hot fries!
As we were leaving the city on the same day, we packed our stuff and drove all the way to up to the hill where you can easily find parking spaces near la Alhambra.
Once inside this fabulous place, we spent about 3 – 4 hours walking through la Alhambra gardens, Generalife and the Alcazaba. This place is absolutely AMAZING. I highly recommend it! 😉
